Abstract:

The NuMesh simulator, nsim, provides a platform for debugging and quantifying application code, routing algorithms, and new hardware. The simulator is structured as a shell-style command-line interface, using Tcl/Tk as the command language. The various components of a NuMesh--processors and communication FSMs, and the interface between them--are all structured as software modules with a simple, consistent interface. This document discusses the simulator from the point of view of the application writer, routing-algorithm designer, and hardware architect.
